KPRU’s Road to Sustainable Development Goals

Kamphaeng Phet Rajabhat University is committed to becoming a model university for sustainability in our community by adopting the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations as a framework for action under our mission, responsibilities, and areas of expertise. We have devoted our resources, grounded in academic excellence, to research, projects, activities, academic services, and the building of networks with organizations both domestically and internationally. In addition, we provide education aimed at developing citizens who are aware of their roles and responsibilities as quality global citizens contributing to sustainable development in our society.

In 2025, the university set comprehensive policy covering various goals.Beyond clear policies, the university also undertakes a wide range of projects and activities both inside and outside the campus. These initiatives not only foster sustainable community development but also serve as models for other agencies to align their missions and responsibilities. Our participation in committees of external organizations, sharing our perspectives, and transferring knowledge to other agencies so they may develop policies and practices aligned with the SDGs constitute another core mission. We recognize that achieving the SDGs cannot be done by a single entity alone but requires collaboration across networks— whether fighting poverty, hunger, and improving social welfare, tackling extreme climate change, or strengthening social institutions so that everyone can access basic public services. To ensure that the SDGs are passed on to future generations, Kamphaeng Phet Rajabhat University emphasizes education with courses and content related to sustainable development. We believe that fostering awareness of individuals’ responsibilities toward the SDGs is a key factor in achieving the ultimate goals. Moreover, extracurricular activities at the university also encourage everyone to recognize their responsibilities to society and the environment. Our students are encouraged to consume and use resources responsibly.
